The Calliope Hummingbird, one of the 314 endangered birds listed on the Audubon Bird and Climate Change Report, is the smallest mating bird in the United States. Due to climate change caused by humans, the nesting habitat of these and other birds is being destroyed and populations are slowly decreasing. Tiny but mighty, these little guys are the size of a golf ball ball and migrate over 2000 miles each year to spend their winters in Mexico.
